Johns Hopkins University is a private research university in Baltimore, Maryland.
JHU offers separate housing options for freshmen and sophomores. Freshmen can choose between AMRs I/II, traditional-style living with single/double rooms, or AMR III / Wolman / McCoy, which are suite-style with 2-3 bedrooms. Most first-year students choose between Wolman and McCoy for the suite-style, while others prefer the traditional, more social style and thus opt for the AMRs. Sophomore housing includes S-B Commons, Bradford Apts, Homewood Apts, and McCoy Hall. S-B Commons offers single rooms in 2- and 4-person suites, whereas Bradford and Homewood have efficiencies and are more apartment-style.
