The University of California, Santa Cruz is a public land-grant research university in Santa Cruz, California.
The residence halls on campus offer shared and single rooms, including triple rooms which are the most common. There are also double, quad, quint, and hex rooms in some buildings. The shared bathrooms are designated mixed-gender but modified for privacy. On single-gender floors, bathrooms are used by individuals who identify with that gender. Rooms come furnished with an extra-long twin bed, a desk, a chair, and storage space, but bedding, a lamp, clock, and other essential personal items must be brought by the resident.
