The University of South Florida is a public research university with its main campus located in Tampa, Florida.

The campus housing options include traditional, suite, and apartment styles. Greek Village is also available for students who want to join fraternities or sororities. Traditional style rooms are the typical college housing option, with double occupancy rooms and community bathrooms that are cleaned daily. Suite style halls offer more privacy than traditional rooms with shared bathrooms only among suite-mates. Living learning communities (LLCs) are also available in suite style halls. Apartment communities provide more independence with single or double occupancy bedrooms, a kitchen with a refrigerator and range, a living room furnished with a sofa and chair, and a shared bathroom among apartment-mates. Apartments are suitable for older students and those interested in community involvement opportunities.
