The University of Virginia (UVA) is a public research university in Charlottesville, Virginia, United States.

Approximately 1600 residents live in hallway-style houses on Alderman Road, while around 1300 students are accommodated in double-bedroom setups within newly renovated halls on McCormick Road. The Alderman Road houses offer shared common areas on each floor, and the floors are supervised by two upperclass Resident Advisors. In contrast, the McCormick Road houses have around 45 students per hallway sharing a common bathroom, with two upperclass Resident Advisors on each floor.
