"pros: LOCATION and best dining hall by far cons: smallest dorms, bathroom doesn’t always get cleaned, unrenovated, location is good but south hall is in the same place but bigger dorms"

"Stone Hall - East Unrenovated / Traditional Halls I was fortunate enough to live here my year, 2022-2023, and Stone is one of the last three buildings in East that are unrenovated. Living in this hall was very loud. Lots of people constantly yelling at night, especially since the outside is a hot spot in East. The first floor, which I lived on, was extremely hot, getting up to around 82 Degrees F at night, and with no air conditioning, it was extremely stuffy at times. Regardless, Stone is a nice place to be, as it gives you a sense of nostalgia, living in the older dorms. Pros: Location: Right next to Findlay Commons, the food there is really good, they have a Deli, quick orders, and the largest market on campus. You are also right next to the tennis courts, the IM building, and to the stadium, for when you want to watch football games. Ease of access: Lots of opportunities to make friends, especially on your floor. You'll def meet someone new in the bathroom or when waiting for the elevator. Cons: Location: A little far from the hub and the library. Would take an average person about 15 minutes to get to either one. This could also apply for classes. Classes in West could take you up to 25-30 minutes if you plan on walking. You are also right next to the football field. So hearing everything is something you will experience. Water: DON'T DRINK IT. It's unrenovated, not filtered, and looks merky. Bathrooms: Old, but you'll get use to it fast. Water is sometimes hot, cold, or in between, it's all random. Laundry: It always smells like garbage in there, as people quite often forget to pick up their laundry, maybe it might just be my building. Overall, this review may as well be irrelevant, as the last three traditional halls in East are going to get demolished and renovated, but I wanted to provide my insight for this hall regardless, as I support Jed and what he's done so far. :) "

"bathrooms are communal and unrenovated but there's an individual bathroom on the ground floor that allows for more privacy. Rooms are also unrenovated but aren't too bad overall."

"I lived in the 4 bedroom townhouse. It was nice having my own room and two floors. I lived in the 4000’s block which was in the corner I’d recommend living closer to the road because it’s closer to classes. Kitchen is small but not bad. Apartment is outdated but not that bad. "

"Very close to most classes that anyone has. Single and double dorms have plenty of space and everyone is very friendly!"

"It's probably the nicest but also one of the furthest. Close to Pollock and south common so that's nice"

"Lived in McElwain Hall my freshman year. It's an older building and is unrenovated with no A/C so make sure to bring a fan for the summer months. The room size is very big for a college dorm, and when you put the desks in between the beds, you get a real sense of privacy. The bathroom situation is less than ideal and definitely rather old, make sure to bring shower slippers. Location is at the bottom of campus very close to downtown and is also very close to the HUB, where a lot of the food options on campus are. All in all a decent experience, would definitely recommend. "

"I actually loved the area of North. The rooms were big, and it's close to many places like the Forum, arboretum, art museum, and library. There is also a cleaning staff that cleans the bathroom every month. However, as a freshman, it was a little hard meeting people on my floor because most of them were upperclassmen and North was overall pretty quiet."

"I lived with 3 other people and we each had our own room. The living room and kitchen were communal spaces as well as the bathroom but there was two people to a bathroom. There's laundry in unit which was very convenient and the bus stop for the red link was about a 2 minute walk and it has convenient stops like the library, IM building, forum building, etc. The area is a bit dietattched from campus though so for transportation it'll be nice to have a bike or something because it's long walks here."
