Dorms are relatively spacious and have closets with a door. Dorms are on a hall, but are arranged in “pods”, generally 2 doubles and 1 singles (5 people) that share a bathroom. Bathrooms were cleaned almost every day. It’s right next to appel, which is great for grabbing food or picking up mail. Mews is one of the only dorms with AC on campus, which is amazing. Mews definitely isn’t very social, but it’s so close to the other dorms that it’s easy to go elsewhere and hang out with friends.
It had bathrooms that were cleaned regularly, good-sized rooms with enough space for my needs, and was right next to Appel, and close to the bus stop near it too. A bit of a walk to central, but you can always just wait for the bus, and most freshman dorms are far from central. Also, has AC!
One of the few dorms with AC on North Campus. Very clean, dorms are set up in "pods" of 5-6 people with one bathroom, so you don't share the bathroom with many people. Cleaners come once or twice a week to clean the bathroom. Common areas are nice. But, it is about a 10 minute walk just to central campus. Besides that, most people in this dorm were quiet, at night.
One of the best freshman dorms. Clean building with air conditioning, close to dining halls, and good bathrooms that are only shared within your own pod (5-6 people). However, the walls are very thin and in the winter my pod had many issues with the heating system.
The rooms are very nice and clean. The cleanliness of the bathrooms depends on who you're sharing a bathroom with.
Definitely one of the best dorms. Very close to campus, both gyms, and both dining halls. Air conditioning, big rooms, relatively low ratio of person to bathroom (each pod of 5-6 shares a bathroom with a toilet, shower, and 2 sinks). Only things it was lacking in terms of amenities as far as I was concerned were laundry machines (only a few on each side and typically 1-2 were out of order as well) and, more importantly, common space. The common rooms are really weird (study lounges on way opposite ends of the hallway away from convenient entrances, lounges are small and for some reason the first 2 floors are connected so the floors can hear each other) and when combined with the fact that we weren’t allowed to keep our doors open (which mos...
