south quad is the best dorm building you can get on campus. not only is it close to everything, the dining hall is the best and the space in the lobby and basement is great. tbh, the only thing that sucked (but not enough to remove a star) is that some dorms, like mine, don't have AC, so the hot day...

Definitely one of the nicer dorms! It doesn’t have air conditioning in the dorms but that’s not that bad considering it’s only super hot in sep and part of oct. Having the dining downstairs is super nice, but it’s not that social of a dorm
The dorms are much larger than most dorms at UMich (19x11) and the building is very well located. The downsides include no air-conditioning and the furniture and walls are out dated, but having one of the best dining halls on campus, being located close to the law quad and big house are some upsides...
