Lyons Hall

Lyons Hall builds character honestly, in a good way I think. Plus it’s the only dorm featured in Rudy! The community is great and the rector is absolutely lovely (love you K-Lion 🫶). It is on the far side of south quad which makes the trek to classes a little longer, but it’s right by the beautiful St. Mary’s lake and it has a beautiful arch. The chapel is absolutely gorgeous and unlike no other. It’s also a short 2-min walk from the better dh, south dining hall. It’s right by the Rock (a gym), though the dorm does have its own little gym that was just renovated, and it has a beach volleyball court right nearby. The only complaints I have are that there’s no AC, no elevator, and it’s on the older side so the rooms are smaller and very clearly old. It’s live-able but compared to other dorms, you’d be questioning why you pay the same amount for room and board. Even with its flaws, I can’t help but stay for at least the required three years! Ryan Hall

Best community, great girls that support and uplift each other. It’s an inclusive space with accessibility being one of its priorities. It has the best tradition of FJ’s where you can cook with your friends, meet new people, destress by baking, and hear all the tea! (If you have any questions you can also ask the upperclassmen for advice). The rooms are great, spacious and have sinks and good furniture, and the 2/4 is a great place to hang out with friends, do homework (especially if you like some noice while working). The chapel is very beautiful and spacious and if you know how to play the piano, the one there is always available. You will meet tons of people with multiple talents and interests that make for great conversations over time! - 4 weeks ago

Baumer Hall

A beautiful building. Compatible to a hotel with wide carpeted hallways and symmetrical sectioning. The ceilings on the first floor are tall giving all first floor rooms a much more spacious feel. Anyone 6' or under can stand on their lofted bed comfortably on the first floor. The location may not be prime when considering tis proximity to academic buildings but having the wide spacious Baumer bay right outside, bookstore basketball courts, and sectioned off location give it a nice homey feel of its own separate from the mental headspace of campus without being too far of a physical distance away. - 2 years ago

Duncan Hall

Duncan is the best guys dorm on campus. Honestly. If you look at everything combined on what dorm life is all about, Duncan is top 2, not 2. The balance of brotherhood, camaraderie, athletics, academics, social life, and service aspects of Duncan Hall cannot be beat. ND110, Masters Week, Canticle of the Turning, and Schoppe are just a couple of the Duncan specifics that you will come to enjoy if you are blessed with the gift of living in Duncan at ND. - 6 days ago

Dunne Hall

Dunne Hall is the best hall on campus, bar none. One of the newest dorms (built in 2016) but old enough that is has an established culture and great traditions. Community of guys that feels like a family and always looks out for one another. Also hosts the largest on campus party of the year. Rooms are big, modern, and clean; gym and other amenities are new and fixed/replaced often. Location is close to the library, NDH (North Dining Hall), and the football stadium. Overall, a great dorm. - 2 years ago
