Best dorms at Stony Brook?

The best dorms in my opinion are in Chávez and Tubman Halls. The buildings are more modern and are suite style with single rooms. There are multiple private study rooms and a small fitness center for convenience. Locationally, the halls are near the center of campus which places them at a reasonable distance from all other buildings.

In corridor-style housing, rooms typically accommodate two residents who share a bathroom cleaned daily with the floor. Each room is furnished with two beds, dressers, desks, and closets, with a public lounge available for socializing. Air conditioning is only available in bedrooms on the fourth floor of Roosevelt Community. Suite-style housing accommodates between four to six residents who share a bathroom cleaned weekly. Each suite includes a private living room area with two sofas and a table. Rooms in suite-style housing vary in size, with air conditioning provided in Living Learning Community suites.
