"For the most part, I enjoyed living at Huaxtepec because it was fairly new, had a large laundry room, multiple community spaces, and food trucks every weekday. The people were also very social as a lot of the friends that I made lived in Huaxy "

"The dorm rooms can get cramped if you have a triple which most have. The AC stopped working towards the beginning of the year. The guys bathroom never got super dirty because we had a lot fewer guys on our floor than girls. They could be cleaned more frequently though. Sometimes walking all the way across the floor to use it can be annoying. The location is the best on campus. Overall I didn't mind the experience because my floor had a strong community which made it a lot of fun. The dorms aren't too bad, kinda something you just get used to and deal with. "

"I live in a double, which is a bunk bed and the bedroom is a little small for two people. Overall, the apartment is nice and we have a large living room and kitchen area and good amenities such as in apartment wash and dryers and the common room. "

"Mixquic is the furthest away from all the second year housing "tecs" but it's definitely the most modern. There are 6 people to an apartment with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We had a huge living room, kitchen, and even a backyard (we were a corner apartment, not sure if this applies to the others). However, we were supposed to walk to another building to do laundry (main downside). They definitely painted the apartment to be more modern and pretty good for what we paid for. It's just a small complex and at the end of the Tecs so def the most quiet! "

"Rooms are hella small. Most are triples in double sized rooms. Might get unlucky with window placement. "

"I loved living in Huaxy this year. The building is a little far from food and east campus but there’s food trucks, a market, and cafe. The bathrooms get messy but they are way nicer than any other building. The bathroom stalls and showers have full doors which is great for privacy. The courtyard is super nice and the ceilings are high."

"I enjoyed living in Maya my freshman year. I really liked how it was not too many floors or people because it felt more personal and easy to connect with others. I wish there was more washing machines in the first floor wash room because I felt like they were all always in use whenever I would go to do laundry. Also, the air conditioning unit was basically useless the whole year and broke quite often but as long as you keep your window and/or door open it’s not too hard to air out the room. The TV in the common areas were super fun to use and helped us all on the floor connect and watch shows and games together. Also, being on this side of campus is super convenient because we are close to all the major food locations, trolley station and the Student Union. I feel like we are also closer to most of the frats which is nice when going out. Overall, Maya was a great dorm to live in as my first dorming experience and I would recommend this building to all incoming freshmen. "

"As a second year, living in Toltec was way better than expected. Before living here I had only heard bad things about the Tecs. However, the living space was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. I share a room with my roommate and we have a walk in closet and a bathroom in our room. I think the sizes of the room are big enough for two people to put all their stuff and be comfortable. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are all good sizes for a college apartment. We have enough room for all the appliances and lots of cupboard space. The only bad thing would be that there are no ceiling lights in the bedrooms or living rooms so they give you a lot of lamps. Overall, I liked living in Toltec and it may be a little farther from campus compared to the other options but having all of the other apartments here is nice. "

"Out of the other dorms I’m glad I got this one! Don’t really have any complaints. Although the front desk is really strict with checking in and stuff "

"Best dorm on campus! Clean, modern, safe, personal bathroom, and a great location! Try not to overpack since there is limited space!"
