Duchesne Reviews

Boston College

Reviews Summary

Duchesne is a beloved freshman dormitory known for its vibrant and supportive community. Many students have formed lifelong friendships here, making it a memorable and cherished experience for newcomers. The dormitory offers rooms that are considered spacious compared to some upperclassmen accommodations, and while the bathrooms are communal, they are maintained regularly to ensure cleanliness. One of Duchesne's highlights is the green space just outside, which provides a peaceful and relaxing environment, perfect for unwinding or studying. The location does have its drawbacks, such as the challenging hill that residents need to navigate and the thin walls that can sometimes compromise privacy. There is no elevator, which can be inconvenient, but the overall environment remains positive and welcoming. The Perspectives LLC program adds to the sense of community, and the dorm's accessibility with parking makes it convenient for move-ins and drop-offs. Overall, Duchesne offers a supportive and engaging living experience for freshmen.

Rooms are typical for dorms, bathrooms are communal but cleaned pretty regularly. The green space outside Duch is the best part, in my opinion. It's super peaceful and separate, which I liked, but the hill can be an absolute pain.

Pretty spacious dorms with green space nearby, but no elevator and thin walls, and the hill can be a pain in the ass, but overall pretty good environment

Rooms are bigger than upper rooms. Good community with perspectives LLC, green space right outside the front door, easy parking for parents dropping stuff off.
