Davenport Commons A and B Reviews
Northeastern University
Reviews Summary
Davenport Commons A and B offer spacious and well-equipped apartment-style dorms for students at Northeastern University. Students praise the large common areas and kitchens, with rooms that are bigger than other dorms on campus. The location is convenient, close to amenities like Whole Foods and restaurants, although a bit far from some academic buildings. The dorms have varied room sizes, with some facing pleasant views of the city skyline. While there are occasional complaints about noise and elevator issues, the overall community vibe and cleanliness are highlighted. The dorms are pricier but provide a comfortable living space with modern amenities, making them a popular choice despite being on the outskirts of the campus.

Lived in a corner room with four other people during my sophomore year. Large common area and kitchen area were very useful. Great building overall, would highly recommend!
Nice rooms and large common space (we had a corner apartment style dorm ending in -26). The rooms are spacious and have climate control. The kitchen was also very large! I recommend!
This is specific for rooms ending in -24 (224, 324, 424, 524, 624) in DavB. Everything in general is 1.5x bigger because the rooms are ADA accessible. My single is 1.5-2x bigger than my DavA single. Living room is bigger, there’s a sectioned off part that’s our dining table. Kitchen is bigger, one of the bathrooms is bigger (but note it’s a standing shower, due to ADA compliance). Other apartments will be smaller Building: elevator is slow, but we got new washers and dryers Location: close to everything. Whole Foods, jefes, mailroom, just maybe not the khoury building (west H) if you’re a cs major.
I had an apartment-style and found a mouse running in my room around the end of the semester. I don't recommend it!
It's an absolute joke that this is considered "luxury" housing. Super overpriced and mediocre at best. One of the most inconvenient locations on campus, too.
I was in Dav A second floor for my Soph year. A double in a 5 person apartment (2 doubles 1 single). We had a massive common room space and the rooms were pretty large. My room was oddly shaped so my roommates bed was against the window and mine was right next to the door but it worked well. I had my bed lofted pretty high so that was a good storage space. The RA's were very chill and it was hard to get a noise complaint if you're smart about it (hang out and play music in your rooms with the doors closed). One and a half baths. Trash room was always nasty but it was on the first floor next to laundry so pretty secluded from the suites. Location was fine- especially now with the ISEC bridge. Definitely try to live in DAV- the Wests are over...
Lowkey very expensive for sharing a room but the space was great as it allowed for everyone to spread out in the kitchen, bathroom or common area. The kitchen was great to have but if more than two people were in it is was small quick. Having two separate toilets and a joined sink area was wonderful as you never have to wait for a bathroom. The walls are super thin and can hear dumbasses running down the hall at 2am or blasting music all night, but good place to live (cuz no mice named Skrat :) )
I lived in a 6 person apt in Dav A during a summer semester. I absolutely loved it, my single was huge (much bigger than my West A single) and I lived on the first floor so it was convenient to get in and out of the building. I personally liked the location and liked that there was a resmail so close by. Kitchen was a bit small but I didn't cook most of the time. Living room was decently sized, doubles are pretty big. There's a really cheap place called Good Eats right behind it too if you're ever hungry and don't want to spend money.
Apartment style dorms with double and sometimes single bedrooms. Mine had two doubles and a single and one and a half baths, common room and kitchen as well. Great dorm, would recommend.
Dav A was great, fun community. Lived in an RA suite and the RA was awesome. Good location, pretty clean. Almost no complaints!
