Willis Hall Reviews
Northeastern University
Reviews Summary
Willis Hall, located on the campus of Northeastern University, is praised by students for being the best value for money in terms of on-campus housing. With double rooms offering ample storage space, a spacious living room, and a kitchen equipped with a dishwasher and pantry, Willis Hall provides students with comfortable living arrangements. The split bathroom layout, separating the toilet and shower from the sink, adds convenience for roommates sharing the space. The dorm's proximity to key campus locations like Behrakis and Centennial, as well as its easy access to transportation options like the MFA Green Line stop and Ruggles, make it a prime location for students. Residents appreciate the larger rooms and common areas compared to other dorms, such as West Village, and the variety of updated appliances throughout the building. The presence of a common room with a TV and laundry facilities in the basement adds to the overall appeal of Willis Hall. While some rooms may lack AC, the dorm remains a popular choice for sophomores and upperclassmen due to its affordability and favorable amenities. Overall, Willis Hall stands out as a top choice for students seeking a cost-effective, spacious, and conveniently located dormitory for their college years at Northeastern University.

I lived here on campus for 8 fall + spring semesters in undergrad and it was probably honestly the most worth it for my money. The double rooms and living room space is definitely big enough for everyone to have their adequate storage space and the kitchen with the dishwasher and pantry provides even more space. The bathroom is split so that the toilet and shower are separate from the sink, which is super convenient if another roommate needs the sink. It’s also super convenient if you have most of your classes in Behrakis! :)
The best bang for your buck at NU - you get a full living room and dishwasher, plus a great location.
One of best dorms on-campus for its price. Definitely try to get the upper floors which have nicer views and make it more worthwhile. Not more than a 5 min walk to most classes. They honestly need more dorms like Willis. Can’t complain much apart from the elevators which have funky buttons (RIP if you’re on the 4th floor)
Best housing at Northeastern easily. Only competition is 10 Coventry, but Willis edges it out with location. Don't bother with any of the "luxury" NEU housing, it's more expensive and you aren't getting anything better.
The location is great -- it's really close to Centennial, the MFA Green Line stop, Ruggles, the West Villages, etc. The living room and bedrooms are a good size, and considering that it is cheaper than the West Villages which are pretty similar except for the more modern features and such, I would definitely recommend it.
I lived in Willis the spring of my first year after NUin. The roommates and layout are almost the exact same as West Village but less expensive! It's such a good deal for the price and would recommend living here for any student, it's also in a prime location on campus, I could get to most of my classes in about five minutes!!! The bathroom is a little funky because the toilet seat didn't have a lid but other than that we had no issues!
I would argue that Willis is the best dorm at Northeastern. It's not as expensive as WV and the only major differences are lack of AC (in most of the building) and the fact that it's an older building. The bedrooms and common areas are huge and the kitchen has a lot of counter space and a dishwasher. In the basement, there's a common room with a TV and a lot of on-site laundry. Overall, the location of Willis is amazing (it's close to everything) and it's a really spacious dorm with a lot of amenities.
Willis is the best bang for your buck you could get at Northeastern. The building/rooms are a little older but basically all appliances have been updated so the kitchen/bathroom appliances are usually better than West Village. Water pressure is great, corner rooms are always your best bet they are bigger. The location is ideal, literally right in west village.
Willis is the best dorm for upperclassmen. It’s arguably just as nice or nicer than WV dorms, for a lower price. The living area is huge and the views from the upper floors are amazing. I lived here my sophomore, middler, and junior years.
Probably the best on campus dorm for the money, but some rooms are nicer than others and one half of the building has AC while the other half does not. Some kitchens have weird particle board cabinets while others have nicer wooden ones.
