West Village G Reviews

Northeastern University

Reviews Summary

West Village G offers a mix of modern amenities and unique architectural quirks that add to its character. While some appliances might be on the older side, they are fully functional, and the dorm's convenient on-campus location makes up for its somewhat awkward building shape. Each room provides a good amount of space and is equipped with large floor-to-ceiling windows, offering stunning views, particularly of Boston sunsets, though some rooms might face less picturesque scenery. The dorm features private bathrooms and kitchens, with ample pantry and kitchen storage, but it may be prudent to invest in a carpet cleaner since the carpeted areas can retain odors. The living space accommodates up to five people comfortably in single rooms, making it ideal for those who appreciate privacy within a shared apartment setup. Despite its higher cost, students praise the building's cleanliness and maintenance. For those whose classes are located in distant parts of campus, the walk can be challenging, especially during winter, yet overall, its centrality offers convenient access to campus amenities.

The appliances are a bit old, butt they’re usable. The location is kinda awkward and so is the building shape, but it’s still in a nice around campus. The lighting is pretty decent and so are the room sizes.

One of the more modern buildings with an elevator, the rooms are huge, private bathroom & kitchen. My room had a fantastic view of the beautiful Boston sunsets too. Could play music pretty loudly and the other people couldn't hear.

We had 5 people living here, all singles. It's fantastic. Best kind of apartment set up. It's expensive af which is the one downside.

Overall great dorm, large kitchen with decent appliances (disposal, dishwasher, large refrigerator), large floor to ceiling windows (not much of a view), and it's also right on campus so very convenient for your commutes. Building is well maintained and clean. I heard of people seeing mice in their rooms but I personally did not experience this, just keep your apartment clean I guess.

Great dorm, large living rooms and bathrooms. Convenient if you happen to have a class or two downstairs.

West G is a good dorm, the weird building shape creates even weirder room shapes but it can be unique looking at some points. They made each apartment with a lot of windows so you get some great views. The appliances are old but at least they work properly. You get a pantry and apple kitchen storage too. The bathroom has a separate toilet/shower area that is separated from your sink area. Everything is covered in carpet so maybe invest in some carpet cleaner because that will always smell. It is a good dorm but extremely expensive.

If money is not an issue this is a nice and easy living situation. But if you are frugal you can find way better off-campus with a less than 15 min commute. The location is also nice since it is close to mini W...
