    Dundee

    based on 35 reviews

    Dundee at UCR

"I have lived in Dundee for the past 2 years. The dorm itself is the smallest dorm out of all of the residence halls. The plus side is that you can control the air conditioner and it goes all the way down to 68 C. Although the room is very narrow, it is pretty long and has high ceilings. Because I had a single, there was still a good amount of walking space. The bathrooms are pretty clean. One thing that I noticed is that the terraces for both A and B buildings get pretty noisy and attract a lot of people that are not from the building or not campus affiliated. B building is definitely not as clean as A building, but A building has its hot water get cut out more often. Honestly, Dundee is very nice to look at but it is not functional once you look at everything and live in the building for an extended period of time. But not too bad since the showers are the best part of living here." - 1 year ago

    Bannockburn Village

    based on 2 reviews

"You don’t want to live here unless you have no other choice. The only perk is it’s proximity to campus, being the nearest apartment complex. The rooms smell like a dusty antique store, the AC is constantly breaking down, the carpets are stained and gross, everything is just falling apart and there is ALWAYS a mold problem in the bathroom. They charged me $40 to clean the mold in my shower just for it to grow back after a week. There are always bugs getting in to the apartment and I have seen literal roaches living in the cabinets. Why would ANYONE want to pay for this rent when they could lease a room in a house with other students for the same price, and live in good conditions?? Take it from me if I had the choice I’d live somewhere else, I’ve been stuck in bannockburn for two years. The rent will also go up literally every year. By far the most ghetto, ugly, poorly managed apartments on campus. " - 1 year ago

    Stonehaven

    based on 3 reviews

"I've lived at Stonehaven for two years now and it has been pretty good, however my situation definitely has its pros and cons.
    Pros:
    - I lived in a 1bed1bath with my best friend so sharing the space was pretty easy
    - the apartment its pretty spacious for two people
    - my unit rarely had issues such as plumbing or electrical problems
    - I got lucky with neighbors that weren't loud at all.
    - the ac and heater both worked really well
    - shower head in my unit was new when I moved in plus they had just redone the bathtub/ shower lining
    - the pool is really well maintained (if ur into swimming)

    Cons:
    - Some buildings and rooms (not all) have bug problems (furniture beetles, roaches, gnats, etc)
    - walls are paper thin (luckily I got a corner room so I only had one neighbor)
    - only one closet per room (you had to split the closet in half however there is a decent amount of drawer space under the beds
    - mattress provided were super hard
    - rent is expensive (next year its gonna be about 1,500 if u want a unit all to yourself)
    - parking is expensive (about 800 for the whole year) [however the apartment parking pass doubles as a campus pass after 6pm which is a lot more useful than you'd think]
    - the biggest con is that management can be a pain
    > they can be kinda rude sometimes (and god forbid you skateboard on the property)

There's more minuscule stuff that I probably forgot to mention but overall I would say it just depends on where you get placed. Compared to the other campus housing, I would 100% choose Stonehaven, however compared to probably cheaper and nicer off campus housing, I would rethink my options. Would rate it a 7.5/10" - 1 year ago

    Glen Mor

    based on 4 reviews

"Glenmor is one of the most trash apartments I've ever been in, and what really pisses me off is the price. We are forced to pay $1450 per month and only get a coffin sized bedroom as well as a SHARED bathroom. I look around and I wonder how people can be such dumbfucks to choose such a shit shack apartment. Most of the staff is terrible (except students), and they force you to spend $100 dinning dollars per month on extremely overpriced yet low-quality food. The walls are thin as hell so you can hear everything your roomate (s) do. What annoys me is that you can find a place off campus and get an apartmnet TWICE as good for HALF the price LITERALLY. I hope one day Glenmor burns down and the motherfucking assholes responsible for the aparment get what they deserve. If you choose Glenmor youre a bot minded dumbass, seriously. " - 9 months ago

    North District

    based on 4 reviews

    North District at UCR

"I think living at north district is pretty nice! The main pro is that it is very convenient since campus is just down the street. Another pro is that CA’s host a lot of programs that are free for residents. There are also a lot of study lounges and designated study spaces all around the apartment complex. I also like how the interior is very modern and new. However, a main con is that is more expensive than other on campus apartments. There are also issues with the wifi sometimes, and parking is absolutely horrendous. It’s really hard to find parking in the closest lot (especially at night time), so most of the time i have to park in the further lot and the walk is such a pain when you have a lot of groceries." - 1 year ago
