You don’t want to live here unless you have no other choice. The only perk is it’s proximity to campus, being the nearest apartment complex. The rooms smell like a dusty antique store, the AC is constantly breaking down, the carpets are stained and gross, everything is just falling apart and there is ALWAYS a mold problem in the bathroom. They charged me $40 to clean the mold in my shower just for it to grow back after a week. There are always bugs getting in to the apartment and I have seen literal roaches living in the cabinets. Why would ANYONE want to pay for this rent when they could lease a room in a house with other students for the same price, and live in good conditions?? Take it from me if I had the choice I’d live somewhere else,...
Absolutely the worst dorm I’ve ever lived in, the single apartment was not worth it. It’s very old and dilapidated - walls and flooring falling apart, and mold and mildew. The bathroom has no vent or windows, and there are only 2 windows (at least in my former dorm) so it was constantly stuffy. Also, there is this certain smell that Bannockburn has, kind of like a musty, old book smell that NEVER goes away and sticks to everything - clothing, bedding, appliances, etc. The walls are paper thin as well, and you’ll constantly hear footsteps and conversations if you have upstairs neighbors. The only pro is that it’s extremely close to campus.
