I've lived at Stonehaven for two years now and it has been pretty good, however my situation definitely has its pros and cons. Pros: - I lived in a 1bed1bath with my best friend so sharing the space was pretty easy - the apartment its pretty spacious for two people - my unit rarely had issues such as plumbing or electrical problems - I got lucky with neighbors that weren't loud at all. - the ac and heater both worked really well - shower head in my unit was new when I moved in plus they had just redone the bathtub/ shower lining - the pool is really well maintained (if ur into swimming) Cons: - Some buildings and rooms (not all) have bug problems (furniture beetles, roaches, gnats, etc) - walls are paper thin (luckily I got a corner room...

Absolute worst place to live. I wish I would have found a house to share with friends as that’s what I did my last two years and it was better. First off, this place is EXPENSIVE. I was sharing a room and it was still pricey. The wifi situation when I was there required your own router although I am not sure how it’s changed since then. The walls are PAPER THIN. I got written up twice just for talking at a normal indoor-voice level. Parking is EXPENSIVE. If you want to bring your own car, it’s going to cost you. Also if you want more freedom for a cheaper price, try finding a house or the off campus apartments that are not affiliated with UCR. There are still RA’s in Stonehaven and there was no freedom. You have to pay to do laundry. Overal...

Stonehaven is old and outdated. It’s designed as your own apartment which is a plus, but you have to use the crappy WiFi, you can’t set up your own router, the kitchens are old and ugly with electric stoves/ovens from the 90s, and our apartment was even cleaned/fixed when we first moved in. There was literally still garbage from the last tenants. The walk to campus isn’t that bad - only takes like 10 minutes- but it does get old sometimes. Overall, it’s just old and dated. People complain that the staff don’t care/are rude but I never had any issues with them.
